Amtico form carved oak to a hallway and living room in Harborne

The client had some water damage to an existing wooden floor and was unhappy with the general performance of the wood flooring.

Mazon were called in after the client had some discussions with an interior designer and was passed our contact details.

We spent some time looking at the different parquet options available, with wood being one option, and luxury vinyl herringbone effect being the other.

In the end, the client decided to go for the Amtico Form Carved Oak range, due to the durability and ability to withstand moisture and wet paws and feet.

We uplifted and removed the existing engineered wood flooring and removed the existing skirting board due to it being laid on top of the wood floor. We then installed a 6mm flooring grade plywood and a 6mm smoothing compound to give a perfect finish. We then proceeded with the install of the herringbone vinyl planks, finishing the whole look with a two plank border. The skirting was then refitted and given a coat of pain by the decorator.

A stunning transformation and a long-lasting solution for the client.
