Herringbone parquet laminate in Stratford

Mazon Flooring were asked by a repeat customer to provide a herringbone laminate floor for a conversion they had turning an existing conservatory in to a fully insulated games room.
The client visited our showroom to browse through the available laminate floors, and took a few samples home to confirm that the colours worked with the existing decors in an adjoining room. The final product chosen was a dark grey 12mm thick herringbone laminate floor, that has a commercial grade warranty and will last for many years to come.
The old floor had tiles down, which had some cracks in them and some high and low points due to some movement. When having a herringbone laminate floor installed, it is vital to have the subfloor prepared so that it is completely flat. Any high or low points will lead to a bouncy floor and possible creaking of the board joints.
Mazon Flooring applied floor primer suitable for going over ceramic tiles and a 4-10mm smoothing compound to fill out any low spots and come above any high points to ensure the sub-floor was completely flat. We then proceeded with the installation of a high tog dense rubber crumb underlay, and the herringbone laminate floor.
The finished results look stunning and are exactly what the customer was looking for, a beautiful durable floor without the expense of a real wood floor.
