From Subfloor to Finish: A Comprehensive Flooring Solution.

The client was looking for a cost-effective flooring solution for the majority of the ground floor area. Different options were discussed, and the final choice was a hard-wearing 8mm laminate floor. The mixture of sub-floors required extensive prep work, including a 6mm ply board, smoothing compound to fill low points, diamond grinding high points and then a coat of smoothing compound to bring all of the levels to the correct standard.

Even with laminate flooring, subfloor preparation is very important. Without the correct consideration of the sub-floor, the laminate will bounce when walked on, and over time

this could break the joints and lead to flooring failure.

In addition to the laminate floor, Mazon Flooring also installed carpet to the stairs, landing and three bedrooms.
